Mumbai: Indian stock markets are likely to be cautious on Tuesday as global peers are weak ahead of this week's crucial G-20 summit.
Global investors are awaiting the highly anticipated meeting at the upcoming G-20 Summit in Japan between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Trump is scheduled to meet one-on-one at the G20 Summit with at least eight world leaders, including President of China and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
Chinese mainland shares decreased in early trade, with the Shanghai composite slipping by 0.43% and the Shenzhen component falling by 0.51%. The composite from Shenzhen also dropped by 0.634 percent. The Hang Seng index in Hong Kong fell by 0.32 percent. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 fell in the morning trade fractionally, while the Topix grew 0.26 percent. The Kospi was 0.3 percent greater in South Korea. Monday's Dow ended up 0.03%, while the S&P 500 lost 0.17% and the Nasdaq lost 0.32%.
