Sensex trades below 11,250, ICICI Bank increases by 3%, Bajaj Auto slips by 4%.
Market Opens: It's a flat beginning for the July 29 benchmark indices with Nifty around 11,300 in blended worldwide signals.
The Sensex is up 43.38 points or 0.11 percent at 37926.17 at 09:16 hrs IST, and the Nifty is up 6.40 or 0.06 percent at 11290.70.
Approximately 346 shares have moved forward, 242 shares have decreased, and 56 shares remain unchanged.
ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, TCS, HCL Tech are some of the major index winners, while Vedanta, Escorts, Bajaj Auto, Indiabulls Housing, Eicher Motors, Hero Motocorp, JSW Steel, Tata Motors, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Zee, NTPC and HDFC Bank are the losers.
With the exception of FMCG and IT, all other indicators trade lower led by the automotive, metal, pharmaceutical, power, and infra industries.
