Shares of Bharti Airtel are trading higher by 2% on Wednesday after the company posted its Q2 operating performance highlights.
The telecom major reported an ARPU of Rs128 in the September quarter, down from Rs129 in the June quarter.
Revenue from mobile services in India stood at Rs10,811cr in Q2FY20, up from Rs10,724cr qoq. Meanwhile, its subscriber base rose from to 279.43mn from 276.81mn qoq.
Further, the company on Tuesday informed that it would defer its audited financial results for the second quarter (Q2) and half year ended September 30, 2019 till November 14, 2019 on account of the fact that more clarity is needed on the AGR matter arising out of recent judgement of Hon'ble Supreme Court.
The Company is approaching DoT to seek clarity on the total amounts involved and request for their support to deal with this adverse outcome.
Further, media sources reported that a government committee is examining the financial stress of telcos and is expected to suggest measures to ease the same.
