Allahabad Bank informed the exchanges that the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services, has conveyed the sanction of the President of India for release of fresh capital infusion fund of ~Rs2,153cr towards the contribution of the Central Government in the preferential allotment of equity shares (Special Securities/Bonds) of the Bank during the FY20 as the Government's investment.
Allahabad Bank ended at Rs17.75 down by Rs0.95 or 5.08% from its previous closing of Rs18.70 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs18.70 and touched a high and low of Rs18.80 and Rs16.75 respectively. A total of 25,32,589 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs6,606.05cr.
