Mumbai: On Monday, the Indian rupee traded slightly against the US dollar as traders were careful and avoided taking long positions after the Business Standard report stated that the Viral Acharya Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had resigned six months before the end of his term citing "unexpected private reasons."
The rupee traded at $69.57 at 9.15 am, down 0.01% from its earlier 69.58 close. The Indian currency opened a dollar at 69.61.
