Market Opens: On July 2 with Nifty above 11,850, it is a simple beginning for the Indian indices.
The Sensex is up 3.70 points or 0.01 percent at 39690.20 at 09:16 hrs IST, and the Nifty is up 1.90 or 0.02 percent at 11867.50. Approximately 352 shares have progressed, 220 shares have decreased, and 34 unchanged shares.
HPCL, BPCL, IndusInd Bank, ONGC, Infosys, Britannia, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki and Asian Paints are among the major index winners, while Yes Bank, Eicher Motors, Tata Motors, JSW Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Cox & Kings and Dr Reddy's Lab are the losers.
Buying seen in the energy sector includes FMCG room, whereas auto, IT, metal and pharmaceutical are under pressure.
