Benchmark indexes expanded the losses in opening trade from the day before. The BSE Sensex dropped to 38,651 points by 69.57 points and the Nifty50 dropped to 11,519.80 points.
Titan Company dropped 9%, followed by UPL, HDFC, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv, down 1.5-2.5%.
The trend was bucked by the IOC, increasing by 3.7%. Other winners were BPCL, Coal India, Yes Bank and ONGC.
The BSE Sensex dropped 189.05 points to 38,531.52 and the Nifty50 dropped to 11,497.10 by 61.50 points. For each share increasing on the BSE, about two stocks decreased.
